Fiat introduced the 1100TV Convertible in 1955 as the sporting version of the 103-series overhead valve inline four-cylinder that was the backbone of Fiats model range. The cheeky 1100TV (Touring Veloce) convertible had 50 horsepower and a seductive Pinin Farina body with a Pegaso-like split grille envelope body one piece wraparound windshield and characteristic chrome trim in front of the rear fender. In 1957 it grew to 1221cc and 55hp as the 1200TV. This 1959 Fiat 1200TV Convertible is a sweet California car that has had a quality repaint and sympathetic maintenance throughout its life. Finished in light blue (Grigio ardesia?) with tan upholstery and interior trim piped in matching blue with blue carpets and a black vinyl top and top boot cover it has Fiats sweet wire wheel covers with spinner centers blackwall radial tires and a set of swivel seats that turn out when the doors are opened to facilitate entry and exit a feature than high-end Chryslers would make a point of offering. Repainted but otherwise original and in exceptionally good condition the odometer shows 25500 miles a reading that is hard to argue with even down to the worn but sound original carpets. The engine compartment is tidy and original giving this Fiat 1200TV Convertible the look of a 5-10 year old car that will amaze onlookers with its preservation and handsome presentation.
