Dressed in Malaga Maroon with an Atoka Cream belt and tan accents, the cars paint and trim are in very good overall condition, with minor blemishes visible only upon close inspection. The cars glass panes are also in very good order, intact and clear. The cars lights are in good shape, with fog lights perched above the front bumper and cowl lights in addition to the headlights. This ode to classic yesteryear rolls on radial tires, P235/75R15, surrounding creamcolored wire wheels with REO center caps. The cars body panels are straight and solid, including the rubberized roof and socalled suicide rear doors. The engine bay is tidy, the bumpers are in good shape and a wooden trunk in the rear provides storage for driver and passengers. Driver convenience features include power steering and power front disc brakes.

An allMopar powertrain replaces the cars original motor, transmission and rear end. It now has a 318 CID V8 with dual exhausts, a 727 threespeed automatic transmission and a Chrysler rear end.

Inside, The cars gray seats are in very good condition, as is the matching carpet and headliner. Wood accents abound inside, over the dashboard and surrounding all of the side windows. The instrument panel is in very good order, complete with a full array of gauges from Classic Instruments, including a working clock. A modern, threespoke wheel with tilting column, possibly from an American Motors vehicle, has replaced the original steering wheel. The door panels are in excellent condition while the mirror glass and gearshift lever are in good order. Capping off the interior is a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player and two speakers in the rear. Currently the horn and fuel gauge are inoperable.

TheREO Motor Car Companywas aLansing, Michiganbased company that produced automobiles and trucksfrom 1905 to 1975. At one point the company also manufactured buses on its truck platforms and even has a rock band named after them : REO Speed Wagon

Ransom E. Oldswas an entrepreneur who founded multiple companies in the automobile industry. In 1897 Olds founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company (later, as Oldsmobile, to become a part of General Motors). In 1905 Olds left Oldsmobile and established a new company, REO Motor Car Company, in Lansing, Michigan. Olds had 52 percent of the stock and the titles of president and general manager. To ensure a reliable supply of parts, he organized a number of subsidiary firms like theNational Coil Company, theMichigan Screw Company, and theAtlas Drop Forge Company.

Originally the company was to be called "R. E. Olds Motor Car Company," but the owner of Olds' previous company, then calledOlds Motor Works, objected and threatened legal action on the grounds of likely confusion of names by consumers. Olds then changed the name to his initials.

TheFlying Cloudwas the first car to use Lockheed's new hydraulic internal expanding brake system and featured styling by Fabio Segardi. WhileNed Jordanis credited with changing the way advertising was written with his "Somewhere West of Laramie" ads for hisJordan Playboy, Reo's Flying Clouda name that provoked evocative images of speed and lightnesschanged the way automobiles would be named in the future. It has a 115" wheelbase. The final REO model of 1936 was a Flying Cloud.
