Straddling the line between the workaday 150 and the glitzy BelAir, Chevrolets midpriced sedan and coupe in 1955 was the 210. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this 210 Twodoor Hardtop Restomod.
This example originally came off the assembly line at GMs Kansas City, Missouri factory. It has been recently restored by the previous owner of 10 years. The exterior is brilliant maroon while the interior is complimentary gray.
The cars paint and trim are in overall excellent shape while the tinted glass panels are in mostly clear and intact, however the windshield presents some rock chips but no cracks. The cars lights are in very good condition.
This 210s bodywork is straight and solid, the battery looks new, its engine bay is extremely tidy and the cars shiny chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body. This TriFive rolls on Cooper Cobra Road G/T radials, 235/60R15 at all four corners. Each tire is wrapped around a vent Rally wheel. The wheels are in good overall shape as are the tires.
Under that hood is a 350 CID V8 engine with a fourbarrel carburetor and breathing through dual exhausts. Mated to the V8 is a Turbo Hydramatic 350 threespeed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include power steering, power front disc and rear drum brakes, tilt steering column and tinted glass.
Inside, a neutral gray cloth replaces the original interior. The foldforward front seats are in overall great shape, while the black carpeting looks excellent. The headliner and fourspoke aftermarket steering wheel are look great while the instrument panel is in overall excellent order. The inner door panels echo the rest of the interiors theme and look fantastic. A B&M shifter rides on the transmission tunnel and looks great. Completing the cars interior is a Retro Sound AM/FM stereo with cassette deck.
The 55 model year marks the introduction of a new chassis and the debut of the Chevrolets legendarysmall blockV8. The center door frame was beefed up for more safety and had 11inch drum brakes. The TwoTen buyer was free to choose any powertrain option available. The ammeter and oil pressure gauges were changed to warning lights.
It took its name by shortening the production series number (2100) by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950s trend toward numerical auto names. The numerical designation 210 was also sporadically used in company literature. It replaced the Styleline DeLuxe model available in previous years. The Biscayne replaced the TwoTen after the 1957 model year.
Competitors to this Chevrolet in 1957 included Fords Mainline Business Coupe, Hudsons Wasp Custom Hollywood Hardtop, Kaisers Manhattan Club Coupe, Nashs Statesman Coupe and Plymouths Plaza Coupe.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 577 miles which is understood to be miles since restoration. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE
