1967 Porsche 911 VIN: 307576 Fully cosmetically and mechanically restored Large binder of receipts Porsche Certificate of Authenticity Original Tangerine color Comes with manual, tools, jack, and spare Lived most of its life in California Winner of the Michael Furman Artists Choice Award in 2014 307576 was completed at the Porsche factory on 03/18/1967, rolling off the line swathed in Tangerine orange paint along with its black interior. The 911 would end up being one of the 3,421 base models produced in 1967. It would retain its original engine and transmission over the next 50 years as it went between new owners. Residing mostly in California its entire life, its second owner purchased the car in the early 1970s. They would end up being the longest owner, with their ownership spanning close to three decades. Michael Veitengruber would purchase the car in 2012. He would make the five-and-a-half-hour drive from Northern California to Monterey after purchasing the car. When coming across the Golden Gate bridge, a car started waving and pointing at Michael and the Tangerine 911. When they pulled over, Michael discovered that the other driver was the 2nd owner of the car who had owned it for almost three decades. They spoke for almost 45 minutes about the car and its history and what the owner had done with the 911. Michael would eventually sell the 911 to James Morris in Carmel Valley, California in the summer of 2012. Having restored other cars before and entering them into concours events, Morris set about to restore and bring the 911 back to its former glory. The matching numbers engine and transmission were rebuilt by David Loop European and the interior was retrimmed by Andy and Me Upholestry. Empire Restorations painted the car in correct single stage Glasurit paint, with Empire noting that the bare metal body was in excellent condition with no damage to it. Once the car was completed, the 911 was entered into the Concours on the Avenue in Carmel, California in 2014 and won the Michael Furman Artists Choice Award. Since arriving at Canepa the 911 chassis, body and interior were cleaned by hand until everything was spotless and the single stage Tangerine paint was polished to a stunning shine. Inspected thoroughly, the car is a prime example of an exact concours restored Porsche 911. We are proud to present this early series Porsche 911, excellently restored and ready to see open road or the next concours lawn.
