This 1970 280SL is a matching numbers example, presented in its original colors. It was originally delivered in Europe, and imported to the USA in the early 80s from France. The car is remarkably well documented, with every record from the early 80s (including importation documents) until today in-hand. It drives excellently, and the 4-speed shifts smoothly through all gears. We Acquired the car since the owner was moving abroad. Prior to our acquisition of the car, $3500 was spent on a full brake service, including pads, hoses, rotors, and fluid. At this time, the car was fully serviced, including an oil change, and the installation of a full stainless steel exhaust. This car is in great mechanical condition. It is a good driver-level quality car to use and enjoy. The paintwork is an older correct color paint job, but it would benefit from a newer paint job to match the new Navy Blue interior and new Navy soft top.
