New to our Pleasanton showroom is this simply breathtaking 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2 Door T-Top with black exterior paint, gold graphics/badging and a black vinyl interior.  Under the hood you’ll find a heavily modified factory 400 cid V-8 engine with the numbers matching automatic transmission, plus this one comes equipped with cold A/C, cruise control, power steering/windows/doors, power brakes, premium wheels and more.

Please note that this classic vehicle is not emissions compliant under California law and it is not eligible to be registered within the state.  Check with your local DMV for further details.

Only 2,000 Total Miles on Factory Rebuilt Drivetrain

In terms of condition, this 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is well above the typical driver standard with gorgeous paint and an ultra-straight body, a very clean interior and of course the nicely sorted engine compartment.  The engine work was completed within the last 2,000 miles as well so this one sounds like a champion and should have many great years ahead of it.  Everything else on this ’79 Firebird is super-nice- this is one of the most impressive examples we’ve seen in quite some time.     

While this beauty is still technically a numbers-matching classic, you can see from the photographs that extensive work has been done to the engine.  We do not have any DYNO testing on file so we don’t know how much power it’s putting out at the wheels, but we can tell you that it’s very quick and a great overall muscle car.  It does everything well with a great feel on the open road.
