Finished in its original Magnolia lacquer complimented by Tan top and original Connolly A-4134 Tan hides piped Parchment, this wonderfully preserved example was purchased locally by its second owner in August 2004 at 3,553 miles as an investment. We have been fortunate enough to acquire it from that gentleman along with its complete unused book package in its original jacket, and seemingly never used tools.
The copies of the original delivery and warranty files show that it was equipped with optional cocktail requisites to both front door cubbies and standing winged B mascot to the grille shell. These have survived and the crystal glasses appear to be unused.
Bentley Continental Convertible of the era amounted to a very low percentage of production compared to the much more numerous and deservedly popular Roll-Royce Corniche II variant, making this a fine opportunity to acquire both reliable transportation and a rare collectible.
The photos unfortunately cannot convey the remarkable performance and road manners of this particular example. More than 30 years after manufacture they are still as close to those of a new car as anyone could reasonably expect.
