*1959 Chevrolet Apache*The popularity of vintage trucks has been exploding in recent years thanks to their classic looks durability and all around usefulness. This 1959 Chevrolet Apache perfectly encapsulates all of those things and would make a wonderful addition to any garage as a great looking runaround vehicle. Benefiting from a fairly recent restoration the truck presents in very nice driver quality and will garner looks everywhere you take it. Painted in a beautiful shade of metallic dark blue with color matched steel wheels and mirror like brightwork the truck is stunning in person but it is not in such showroom condition that you will be afraid to use it. A notable design element in this generation of Chevrolet pickup is the wraparound front window a unique feature that was accented beautifully by a white painted strip around the rear of the cab which gives the cab sort of a floating roof look.The interior of the truck has been reupholstered in two tone blue and white to match the exterior of the truck and shows extremely nicely. Under the hood lies a 283 cubic inch V8 which provides plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic and performance parts are readily available if you want to give the car a bit more pickup. That engine is run through a manual gearbox and back to a locking rear axle.In mid1955 Chevrolet debuted their new line of trucks. The sleeker and more curvaceous design was done to fit in with the companys new more futuristic design language that carried across all of their passenger cars. From the light duty pickups to the chassis cabs many of the design elements were echoed to create a uniform brand identity. The Apache name has now become synonymous with Chevrolet trucks but it wasnt until 1958 when they started using that name on this series. Denoting the light duty pickups the Apache received a styling update at this time which included the beautiful quad headlight setup in front as well as an altered painted front grille.
