The 1st generation Mustang was manufactured by Ford from 1964 until 1973 and created a new class of cars called pony cars. Its styling with its long hood and short deck proved widely popular inspiring a host of competition. 1969 brought another major restyling to the Mustang by increasing its length almost 4 inches while retaining the 108" wheelbase of the original 64's. New features for 69 included quad headlights, the front parking lights were now located behind the front valance panel, new quarter panel ornaments were installed, side scoops were added, the front seat backs had locks added and the VIN number was attached to the instrument panel so it would be visible through the windshield. This particular example was originally sold new in Hawaii in 1969. During its life it made it to the Midwest where it found a new home in 2013. At that time it was an original unrestored survivor. It has since been gone through top to bottom and shows like it did back in its glory days. Included you will be provided with a Marti Auto Works Marti Report to verify the car as follows. Originally built in San Jose this 2 door hardtop is equipped with a 351ci Cleveland V8 and a FMX Cruise-O-Matic transmission. It was repainted in its original color of Raven Black and was originally equipped with White Clarion Knit Vinyl Dcor Bucket seats and a matching White vinyl roof which are correct to the car. Other options worth noting are the center console, power steering, power front disc brakes, Selectaire A/C (missing its original compressor), the Interior Dcor Group, complete tinted glass, color keyed racing mirrors, wheel covers and it was nicely optioned with a shaker hood. There are only a few things that are not original to the car which include the Hermosa Radio from Retro Manufacturing which boasts AM/FM/BT & USB connectivity, the new speakers, the stainless fuel and brake lines, the polished American Racing rims wrapped in radial tires and its performance headers that sound just plain nasty ripping through its Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system. When the current owner acquired it in 2013 it had just under 119,000 original miles. It was restored over a 3-year period and has been driven less than 1,000 miles since. Currently the vehicle has 119,498 total miles. Based on its current condition we would appraise it as a #2 car less 10% for the missing air compressor which gives it an appraised value of $32,443.75. We are serious about finding her a new home and have priced her accordingly. If you agree it would be best for you to contact us before its too late!
