The red and cream paint and metal trim on this car are in very good order overall. We found a minor blemish on the left hood. The windows and windshield are clear and crackfree. All of the lights, including the fog lights, are in good shape despite the patina. The car rides along factory wood spoke and metal wheels, surrounded by wide whitewall biasply tires, sized 6.00/6.5019. The body panels are straight and solid and in fantastic shape, even the rubberized roof. Theres no trunk in the rear or fairedin cargo area on this vehicle. There is, however, a sidemounted spare tire on the passenger side and the engine bay is in tidy condition.

Under the hood is a 366 CID straight eightcylinder engine with nine main bearings and a Stromberg UU2 carburetor, linked to a threespeed manual transmission.

Open the drivers door and a russetcolored interior greets you. The bench seats are in very good order and the matching carpet is in decent condition. The russet headliners condition mirrors that of the seats. The instrument panel and fourspoke steering wheel are in good condition. There is a handcrank for the windshield wipers. Currently the temp gauge is inoperable. The mirror glass and shift lever are in good order. The window sills are finished in gorgeous wood, metal grab handles for easy passenger ingress and egress, and there is a tray on either side of the rear compartment to cater to the passengers.

In 1928, theStudebakerCorporation ofSouth Bend, Indiana, gained control of the Buffalo firm. The association was to last for five years, with moderate benefits to both companies' engineering departments, which continued to function as separate entities.PierceArrow also gained a dealer network, as the cars were sold through Studebaker dealerships. Under Studebaker's ownership, PierceArrow retired the venerable sixcylinder engine and in 1929 introduced an Lheadstraighteight engine, which displaced 366 cubic inches.
