Many people have tried to remake Ford's class 1950s Thunderbird Coupe but most of these attempts become lost in translation. MotoeXotica Classic Cars, however, found one that speaks to you loud and clear. We are proud to offer this 1955 "Thundersnake" edition of Ford's venerable twoseater. This is a ultra high quality show car that is super fresh and downright sinister Just as clean on the underside as it is on top. Engine bay and the interior are immaculate and ready for any national car show

The striking body that was built by Customs Unlimited of Ohio is both elegant and bold. The deep blue and silver paint and trim pieces are in excellent condition. It has a handmade rear panel and the rear peak is extended. It also has a handmade lower roll pan, grille and Frenched taillights. The door handles have been removed and the gas filler lid filled. The front and rear bumpers have been turned upside down and molded into the body. The driving lights have been Frenched, as has the grille surround. The car's glass panels are clear and intact, the custom lights look great off and brilliant when on. The engine bay and trunk are both extremely tidy.

Thundersnake is powered by a powerful but modern 4.6L Mustang Cobra motor breathing through dual exhausts and is coupled to a fivespeed manual transmission. It has a ninebolt Ford differential and rides on an Art Morrison 24 tube chassis. The wheels are E.T. Classic fivespokes, surrounded by BFGoodrich radials, 225/60R15 in front and 255/50ZR17 in rear and the bumpers look great. This is a true roadster with a fully finished hardtop, no softtop. It is sure to impress both young and old alike The color is deep and rich, the fit and finish is show quality and everything is as professional as it comes with custom hot rods

The silver interior sparkles and features a handbuilt console with Dakota Digital gauges and Flaming River steering column and threespoke wheel. The silver seats are in very good order and were made by Glide Engineering. The carpeting is in good order and a plush headliner rests above the driver's head. It has handmachined dashboard, door and console inserts. There is a hidden audio system by Horizon Audio. The result is a oneoff custom Ford Thunderbird that retains the look and feel of the original Thunderbird but brings it forward with tasteful updates and modern power under the hood.
