This motorcycle was commissioned by his longtime friend, Mike Dirnt, bass player for the band Green Day This Honda caferacer comes with a Letter of Authenticity signed by Michael Manning, Green Day's Production/Fleet Manager. If that wasn't enough, also included is a bass guitar signed by Mike Dirnt himself

This Carpy creation is equipped with a 915cc big cam, knifeedge crankshaft Honda fourstroke, fourcylinder engine fed by four Keihin carburetors and finished in a handsome satin black "murdered" dot finish throughout. It has a menacing look and sits just right. There is a slight paint pucker around the gas tank filler cap. Power is transferred to the rear wheel by a fivespeed manual transmission with undercut gears. Driver assist features include many custom pieces such as the Carpy front disc and rear drum brake. This 750 rides on a custom Carpy telescoping adjustable forks in the front and a Carpy custom swing arm with adjustable rear shocks, and much, much more The staggered black rims with stainless spokes are 19inch in the front and 18inch in the rear with performance Avon tires, completing the stealth look of this road rocket

Early caf racers were a British invention and used combinations of engines and frames from homemarket bikes. Later came Japanese bikes such as the Honda CB750, which responded well to the caf treatment. Stock bikes were no good for this sort of thing, plus new ones were too expensive for teenagers and 20somethings, so Rockers built their own, often from scrapyard beaters. First to go are the standard handlebars, which are replaced by clipons, a racingtype tank and seat are next, then come modifications to the exhaust system, plus new paint and other minor decorating. The early cafe riders were looking for a racer image, so rarely hung superfluous goodies all over the bike. Top off the aluminum gas tank, monster front brake, alloy rims and premium rubber and you have the ultimate cafracer, an appealing mix of speed and style and, in effect, the worlds first sportbike.

This is a onceina lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the best examples of a professionally built caf racer and a genuine autographed piece of music memorabilia from one the greatest bass players of modern times GET OUT AND DRIVE...er RIDE
