Completely Original 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL Convertible

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this very impressive 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL 2 Door Convertible with tan exterior paint and a matching brown leather interior.  You’ll find the factory 4.5L V-8 engine under the hood along with the numbers-matching automatic transmission, plus this prestigious classic is equipped with power brakes, power doors/windows, cold air conditioning, factory alloy wheels and a nice factory sound system.  This 450SL is in very nice original condition as well with only 59,221 lifetime miles showing on the odometer.

Driven & Enjoyed by Current Owner Since 1984

The current owner of this 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster purchased it all the way back in 1984 from the original owner and he has enjoyed it as an occasional weekend driver for the past 34 years.  He informs us that this beauty is completely numbers-matching from top to bottom and nothing has been changed over the decades.  The interior in particular really stands out with only minor signs of wear throughout- this one is certainly above the typical driver’s grade.  Meanwhile, the paint and body lines are very impressive with a few minor blemishes but nothing to detract from this roadster’s overall beauty.

Out on the open road, this 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster has nice acceleration and very solid handling capabilities at virtually any speed.  The motor sounds great and the entire engine compartment has been kept super clean over the years, so this one really doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed right away.  We wouldn’t hesitate to take this beautiful classic on a long road trip today since it performs so beautifully.
