The El Camino was produced by Chevrolet from 1959 1960 and again from 1964 1987. Although it is considered a pick-up it is different than a standard pick-up as it was adapted from a 2 door station wagon with an integrated cab and cargo bed into the body. The 5th generation was produced from 1978 -1987 and adopted a trimmer sharp edged style similar to the Malibus. Standard equipment was a Buick V6 and the 305 ci V8 was optional. This particular example retains its original 305 which was just serviced at which time all fluids and filters were changed and it was also tuned up. Originally a floor shift car this was converted to a column shift making a 3rd passenger much more comfortable. The light grey interior has held up quite well and it has been upgraded with a GT Grant steering wheel, an aftermarket gauge package and a new Kenwood BT stereo with new speakers. The body was not prepped as well as it should have been before it was painted so the paint job is of driver quality at best. It is an a/c car but we believe it needs a new compressor. There are a few other small things in need of attention but the vehicle is safe to drive anywhere while you work on those items. The El Caminos already have a ton of curb appeal but this one has a little extra with its American Racing rims, BG Goodrich Radial T/A tires and chrome exhaust tips. We would appraise this car at $9,689.00 based on the current N.A.D.A. values. We are serious about finding it a new home and have priced it accordingly!
