Produced in April 1993 in Italy, this car arrived on June 15, 1993 at the Port of Newark, New Jersey and was delivered to the W. C. Motor Co., Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri on June 21, 1993. The original black cloth folding top is in similar fine condition. The car's power antenna and the right side reverse light are inoperable but the glass panels and vehicle lights are in great shape, as are the bodycolor bumpers and the car's body panels. Car rolls on 195/60R15 tires with the factory alloy wheels. A battery disconnect key was installed in 2005 to prevent nonstarting situations.

Inside, the black leather bucket seats are in excellent and unrestored condition, as is the matching carpet. The instrument panel is crackfree and still looks new. The fourspoke steering wheel with driver's airbag is in fine order, as are the door panels, mirrors, center console and gear shift lever. Car has full instrumentation that is operational. The trunk and fuel filler door release levers are on the driver's side door jamb. Completing the interior is a Sony AM/FM stereo with CD player and detachable faceplate (in glovebox). The original CD changer is still in the trunk but is disconnected.

The original owner leased the car for a threeyear term beginning on March 14, 1994 with 4,602 miles on the clock. The original owner put 13,875 miles on the car over a 13year period.

In 1990, the primary mechanical change was that the Spider received Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection with an electric fan.Externally, the Spider lost its front underbumper and rear trunklid spoilers and picked up164style rear lights stretching across the width of the car as well as plastic bumpers the same color as the car. This also marked the first generation of this car withautomatic transmission, as well asonboard diagnosticscapabilities.

In North America, the styling changes did not appear until the 1991 model year. Power steering, larger knee bolsters and a driverside airbag also appeared as standard for North American market Spiders, which were available in two configurations: Spider and Spider Veloce. Primary differences were in standard equipment: the Veloce substituted leather seats for the base model's vinyl; 15" alloy wheels were one size up from the standard steel wheels with hubcaps; and airconditioning and a cloth top were standard. Production of the original Spider ended in 1993.

Documentation includes original vehicle invoice, window sticker, owner's manual, owner's log, dealer directory, maintenance program booklet, rust perforation warranty, original audio owner's manual, operating instructions for aftermarket audio system, more than $7,800 worth of maintenance tickets, a bottle of unopened touchup paint, a tire pressure gauge and more.
