This is an outstanding example of the mighty twelve-cylinder A.L.F. 400 Series and is one of just 19 Model 412-CB-PWTs produced. This pumper was delivered new to the El Centro California Fire Department at the considerable cost of $13988. After official testing it was put into service were it serviced dutifully as the first-out pumper for 25 years. It was continually rebuilt and updated as necessary through the years before it was finally retired due to a radiator failure in the 1970s. It was acquired from the City of El Centro by an antique apparatus enthusiast in 1982 and painstakingly restored over the course of many years. It presents today with a well-detailed restoration accompanied by original test sheets build records and other supporting documentation.
