Post-World War II pickup trucks are getting harder to find. Finished in red, this examples paint and trim are in overall very good order. The bodywork is straight and solid. Up front is a chrome bumper. The cargo bed is in satisfactory condition. We are selling this truck for the estate. Mr. Throckmorton had loving cars for this truck since 2008 (15 years). It was always stored indoors and used sparingly. This truck rolls on older Sentry Hiway tires, size 7.50-16 in front and Super Hiway II tires, size 7.50-16 in back. The spare tire and wheel are a Goodyear Deluxe tire, size 6.50-16. Theres a bed-mounted spare tire on the drivers side. Under the hood is a 239 CID Flathead, 24-stud V-8 engine. It is backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Inside, the gray bench seat is in satisfactory order. There are floor mats, no carpet. The headliner is in mediocre condition. A two-spoke black steering wheel frames the red metal dashboard, with a full set of ancillary gauges. The gray inner door lines echo the condition of the bench seat. The fuel, temp, and AMP gauges and speedo/Odo and wipers are in inop. rom 1947 to 1952, Ford assembled F-Series trucks at sixteen different facilities across North America.
