A marvelous Cadillac-powered J2X with fascinating well-documented history. One of only nine Allards exported to Canada and the only example of a J2X. This late production car chassis 3209 first landed in Montreal via the Jaguar and Alfa Romeo distributor Budd & Dyer. It was raced throughout Canada in the 1950s on circuits and in hill climbs and even appeared on the cover on the Canadian sports car magazine Track & Traffic in October 1959. It remained in the care of one owner for more than 50 years and presents today with a fabulous patina and honest character of a well-loved car.Power still comes from a Cadillac 331 OHV V8 with twin 4-barrel Holley carburetors backed by a Jaguar 4-speed gearbox.
