This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible was impeccably restored and immaculately maintained while under the stewardship under its most recent 20+ year owner. During the span of 1955, 1956, and 1957, Chevrolet produced some of its most iconic passenger cars of all time in a period that would later become known as the Tri-Five era. In the final year of the Tri-Five era, 1957, the Bel Air was perhaps the most recognizable and quintessential Chevy. In 1957, the Bel Air underwent a significant stylistic update from the previous 2 years. At the nose, the Chevrolet Bel Air was significantly redesigned with the addition of a totally new look grille and bumper layout as well as an even flatter hood with dual wind splits. Additionally, to differentiate from the lower-end 150 and 210 models, the Bel Air trim featured an elevated gold anodized V emblem on the front of the hood along with a matching gold V emblem and gold Bel Air script on the trunk. Down the sides, a set of large fins protruding from the rear quarter panels were added in 1957 giving the the car its iconic silhouette.
