This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is a modified example that has been refinished in red over a Fawn interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 350ci Ram Jet V8 crate engine mated to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a paint-matched hardtop as well as a white soft top, and modifications include Jim Meyer Racing suspension components, front disc brakes, power rack-and-pinion steering, an Old Air Products climate-control system, Dakota Digital gauges, and power windows. Acquired by the current owner in 2004, this modified C1 is now offered on behalf of the current owner with product and brand literature and a Washington State title. Said to have been previously finished in Honduras Maroon, the car was repainted in Roman Red with white side coves during the refurbishment according to the seller, who states that the frame was refinished and the underside, wheel wells, engine compartment, and trunk were coated with tinted LineX textured bedliner. The replacement white convertible soft top is shown raised above, and the included body-color removable hardtop is pictured below. Red-painted steel wheels measure 15? and wear full spinner-style wheel covers along with whitewall tires. A matching spare is retained in the trunk. Disc brakes are fitted up front, and further updates include a power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering setup and Jim Meyer Racing-sourced front suspension components. Bucket seats upholstered in replacement Fawn vinyl are accompanied by color-keyed replacements for the door panels and carpeting. The car is equipped with a dashboard-mounted mirror and lap belts for both occupants, and additions include an Old Air Products climate-control system and a vintage-style stereo equipped with an auxiliary input. akota Digital gauges are recessed within the stock openings, and the digital odometer indicates that 1,900 miles have been driven since completion of the build. True mileage is unknown. The 350ci Chevrolet Performance V8 crate engine was installed during the refurbishment and features a Ram Jet port fuel-injection system, a centralized air intake, and polished center-bolt valve covers. Replacement electrical wiring has been installed along with a DeWitts aluminum radiator, an electric cooling fan, and a stainless-steel fuel tank equipped with an in-tank pump. Stainless headers are linked to a dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The steering column featuring the the factory serial number tag was replaced, and the state of Washington assigned the identification number 10867S100262 during current ownership.
