This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible could take up space in your garage or storage area to take you through the end of the decade. This is an incredible find we are selling the car for the duaghter of the original owner who purchased the car new August 3rd, 1963. The car had been in a controlled storage unit where it had slumbered since 1978. We went through the brakes and replaced the brake booster. We replaced all fluids, rebuilt the arb, tuned up the car, installed a correct dual exhaust system, replaced tall 4 tires with radials, detailed and buffed the entire car. This is a highly documented and original car complete with: copy of original title, orig window sticker, orig Chevy sales order, orig Chevy invoice, orig Chevy protection plan, orig owners manual, numerous repair receipts, numerous registration receipts, orig 1963 shop manual. This car, like all Corvettes between 1954 and mid-1981, was made in General Motors St. Louis, Missouri Assembly Plant (VIN code S). Finished in Riverside Red (code 923) with a contrasting white folding top. This cars paint and trim in overall very good order, the bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is somewhat tidy and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body. The white convertible top is in average order. At the rear is a chrome luggage rack for additional storage space. Under the forward-hinged hood is a matching numbers 327 V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor. Backing this engine is a Muncie four-speed manual transmission (code M20). Almost 18,000 Sting Rays left St. Louis with the four-speed manual gearbox better than four out of every five. Recent vehicle maintenance includes the following new parts spark plug wire, fuel filter, carburetor kit, engine oil and filter change, front and rear brake hoses. For 1963, the Sting Ray featured hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents and an independent rear suspension.
