The standard fork style for Harley-Davidson was a springer style front end until the telescopic fork took over in 1949 leading to the springer being discontinued after the 1952 model year. In 1988 it was re-introduced with the FXSTS. The FLSTSC was introduced in 2005 and was last produced in 2007. The last springer model to be produced was the FLSTSB which was available from 2008 through 2011. The FLSTSC Softail Springer Classic digs deeply into H-D history to provide a retro look of a classic Springer with todays amenities such as a Softail frame that offers the look of a hardtail without sacrificing the rear suspension. The tough looking FLSTSC has an exposed rear fender with a passenger pillion that can easily be removed to enhance the nostalgic look. It is powered by a black and chrome 96 Twin Cam engine mated to a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. This particular example was thoroughly customized by H-D of N. Texas who sold the bike new in July of 2007. During the customization a chrome swing arm was installed, the black fork tubes were chrome plated, the inner primary was chromed and the engine was built to 103 with a Screamin Eagle Stage III upgrade. SE parts include the diamond cut CNC Ported heads, 50mm throttle body, 260 Cams, billet rocker/lifter blocks, a high output starter and an oil cooler. It also has a SE tuner, an S&S air cleaner and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Cycle Shack Megaphone exhaust. You will also appreciate the fat spoke chrome rims with a 21 up front, the massive 18 ape hangers, the Mustang 2 piece seat and list of upgraded chrome parts longer than your arm. It also has a one-of-a-kind $5,000 custom paint job that gets compliments everywhere it goes. All said and done this bike sold new for $44,871.04. It currently is in excellent condition and in need of nothing but a new home. We conservatively would appraise this bike at $30,000 but we have priced it for a quick sale. If you think this Springer is as bad ass as we do we suggest contacting us before someone else beats you to it!
