New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1950 Cadillac 60 Special 4 Door Sedan (Throughout the 1950s, the Sixty Special would continue as a stretched and optioned-up version of the Cadillac Series 62) with its finish of silver exterior paint and a grey cloth interior. Youll find the original 331ci OHV V8 engine producing 160 HP and 312 lb./ft. torque w/ 7.5:1 compression ratio mated to a date-correct Hydra-Matic automatic transmission under the hood with a 3.36:1 rear end. Its also equipped with correct features like heat and a factory defroster, an electric dash clock, reverse lights, an AM radio and a day/night rear view mirror. With steel wheels, chrome Cadillac hubcaps and Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, this is an exceptional classic Caddy thats been very nicely cared for throughout its life.

Highly Original w/ Factory 331 OHV Engine in Place

The current owner of this 1950 Cadillac 60 Special Sedan purchased it back in 2008 from the second lifetime owner. He informed us that he was drawn to this particular example since everything was essentially intact and maintained at extremely high levels. We are informed that the factory 331 V-8 is still in place and believe that the Hydra-Matic transmission is numbers-matching as well, along with many of the current accessories and trim pieces. The 1950 Cadillac Series 62 is particularly desirable among investors since it was the first year of the redesigned body style with the new one-piece windshield and the vehicles extended wide stance. Over 41,000 of these four door examples sold in 1950 making it one of Cadillacs most popular models of that era.
