The K2 served as Allards primary sports-touring model designed to balance the hardcore performance of the J2-series with greater comfort and all-round usability. Like most other Allard models the K2 left the factory sans engine with the selling dealer or end user deciding on what combination of American V8 power best suited their needs. This particular 1952 example was first delivered to Perrys Auto Repairs the New York City sports car shop of Perry and Joseph Fina. There it was fitted with one of the hottest engines of it day Cadillacs 331 cubic-inch OHV V8 mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox. It was subsequently restored after 42 years of continuous single ownership and now presents in well-preserved condition with attractive red paintwork over tan leather trim and authentic period-correct detailing. A highly enjoyable and exciting pick for pre-57 driving events. This vehicle just arrived and a full description is coming soon.
