This 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A is finished in Sublime Green with black graphics a black vinyl top and black interior. Built in April 1970 this car was the subject of a 3-year restoration in the mid-2000s and has been under the care of a Seattle-area collector since 2012. Fitted with a 340ci V8 with a Six-Pack trio of 2bbl carburetors this example was ordered from the factory with an optional 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox. It is believed that both the engine and gearbox are numbers matching for this car.Although the restoration took place a number of years ago it remains in very good condition throughout. Under current ownership the car has been driven sparingly and always maintained. Most recently in 2022 the carburetors were all professionally rebuilt by Carburetor Connection in Kirkland Washington.Only produced for the 1970 model year the Dodge Challenger T/A was a racing homologation car designed to meet Sports Car Club of America requirements for entrance in the Trans-Am series. The road-going T/As were fitted with a unique graphics package fiberglass hood with large scoop for cold air dual low-restriction chrome exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires front disc brakes and staggered tires front and rear. A Rallye suspension fitted heavy duty parts that gave the car a more raked stance and were designed to put up with higher performance driving.
